St. Anthony Idaho is world renown for our monstrous sand dunes.  Known for some of the largest and fastest dunes in the continental US, the Saint Anthony Sand Dunes Recreation Area is the ultimate playground for off road thrill-seekers.  Be sure to visit popular destinations like Devil's Dune, Dead Horse Bowl, Choke Cherry Hill, and Crapo Hill / Thunder Mountain.  Egin Lake can be found directly in the dunes and is a family favorite to hang out and relax with incredible views on a warm summer day.

Camping Near the Dunes


Idaho Dunes RV Park is conveniently located with direct access to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes Recreation Area in Eastern Idaho.  Amenities consist of 59 Hook-Up RV campsites, 25 acres of dry camp area, showers, bathrooms and a fully stocked convenience store.  All RV sites are pull through and will easily accommodate rigs 70 feet long.

Gateway To Yellowstone and Grand Teton

St Anthony, Idaho is located on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River just 10 miles Northeast of Rexburg, Idaho on US Route 20.  Drive north east on US 20 and you will encounter tourist towns like Island Park and West Yellowstone.  Drive south east from St Anthony to explore historic Driggs, Idaho and ultimately reach Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, Wyoming.

Sightseeing Near the Dunes


Camp at Idaho Dunes RV and venture out on day trips to a variety of historic landmarks, state parks, national parks and local attractions.


Day Trip 1:  Depart Idaho Dunes RV and head North.  Take the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway enroute to Island Park Idaho.  While in Island Park be sure to see Johnny Sacks Cabin at Big Springs where the Warm River originates and begins to flow out of the mountain.  From there continue on to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park.  Explore the park and see Old Faithful and the historic Old Faithful Inn.   On your way back to camp be sure to stop by the Yellowstone Playhouse for a great dinner and comedy show.


Day Trip 2:  Depart Idaho Dunes RV and head east on State Hwy 33 toward Driggs.  Head over Teton Pass and into Teton National Park.  Stop by Teton Mountain Lodge and ride to the top on the Jackson Hole Gondola.  Great views, downhill mountain biking, and excellent food can be found here.  From Grand Teton head into the town of Jackson Wyoming.  Shopping, dinning, and the best river rafting in the country can be found in Jackson. 

 

Activities Near the Dunes


Eastern Idaho and the area surrounding St. Anthony hosts some of the greatest outdoor adventures in the west. 


  • Golf:  Multiple golf courses including Teton Lakes in Rexburg and Timberline Golf Course in Ashton are very near by. 
  • Fishing: For those of you that are fishing enthusiasts the Snake River offers some of the best bait fishing and fly fishing waterways on the planet.  Visit Island Park Reservoir, Ashton Reservoir and Henry's Lake for record size Idaho trout.
  • Floating:  Take a self guided river float down the Warm Slough in Rexburg or for the more experienced floaters check out Warm River in Ashton.  Both floats offer excellent views and a relaxing way to enjoy a warm summer day.
  • Mountain Biking:  Mountain biking enthusiasts will feel right at home in our backyard.  Visit Teton Mountain Lodge for an all day experience.  For a shorter excursion from Idaho Dune RV check out nearby Kelly Canyon.
